Dear Jessica,
We've reviewed your academic record, and you may be eligible to apply for Fall 2020 graduation! The application will be available from August 1, 2020 until September 15, 2020. If you are not planning to graduate this semester, please disregard this notice.
Before you apply, please make sure to do the following:
1. Review your major/minor/certificates on myUMBC, and verify they are accurately listed. If you need to change, update, or declare your major, minor, or certificate, complete and submit the Declaration of Major form to the Registrar's Office before September 15, 2020.
2. Contact your advisor(s) to assure your major/minor/certificate program(s) will be complete.
3. Review your Degree Audit to ensure:
All general education requirements will be met
All major, minor, and/or certificate requirements will be met
At least 120 academic credits will be earned (not counting Physical Education credits)
At least 45 upper-level credits will be completed
At least a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher will be earned
At least 60 graded UMBC credits and a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher will be completed for University Honors
4. Complete the Verification of Transferability form if you are planning on taking any coursework off-campus including CLEP exams. Understand that you will need to submit a final official transcript to the Registrar's Office once final grades or final scores are received.
5. Review your mailing address in myUMBC to verify it is correct and make updates if needed.
6. Pay any balances or financial holds, including parking and library fines.
Students may only participate in one commencement ceremony based upon the semester in which all their degree requirements will be met:
May Commencement – for Spring graduation candidates
December Commencement – for Summer and Fall graduation candidates

Please note that the last day to apply online to graduate for Fall 2020 is September 15, 2020.
