El Escorial - Spain

El Escorial, or the Royal Site of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, or Monasterio del Escorial, is a historical residence of the King of Spain located in the town of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, about 45 kilometres northwest of the Spanish capital Madrid.

El Escorial Monastery is the burial and commemorative place of the Spanish kings and is also the Royal palace. The complex includes buildings with the functions of churches, monasteries, mausoleums, shrines, mansions, libraries, museums, schools, research centers, hospitals... closely arranged around 11 main yard and 3 side yards.

Tu viện hoàng gia San Lorenzo de El Escorial toạ lạc ở thị trấn San Lorenzo de El Escorial, 45 km về phía Tây Bắc thủ đô Madrid, Tây Ban Nha. Công trình này được gọi tắt là El Escorial hoặc Escorial.

Tu viện El Escorial là nơi chôn cất và tưởng nhớ các vị vua Tây Ban Nha và cũng là cung điện Hoàng gia.  Quần thể bao gồm các tòa nhà có chức năng nhà thờ, tu viện, lăng mộ, điện thờ, dinh thự,  thư viện, bảo tàng, trường học, trung tâm nghiên cứu, bệnh viện…được bố cục chặt chẽ bao quanh 11 sân chính và 3 sân phụ.
